Archive Mode

During 2010 the 52 Weeks of Geek challenge stretched my understanding of story and the role that story plays in our formation. Because of my year filled with 52 books, 52 movies and 52 games I've had the opportunity to meet some great people, be involved in some interesting projects and (hopefully) influence a few lives. 52 Weeks was always meant to be a one year project and yet this site has lingered. Today I am officially placing 52WeeksofGeek.com into archive mode. I'll leave it up as a artifact of the project but I won't be adding any further posts.

New ingredients this week

Around our house lately we have been trying to expand the grocery list. This week we added Bok Choy and Golden Kiwi.

I sauteed the Bok Choy "stem end" in a lightly oiled, ripping hot saute pan. Salt, pepper. Added the Bok Choy leaves and a few sliced zucchinis for good measure. Hit it with some Worcestershire Sauce and Lemon. It was good but needed a touch of something sweet, carmelized onions next time.

The Golden Kiwi is a strange bird (you see what I did there?). Like a typical green kiwi with gold flesh, a pointy nose, less fur and a much less strawberry much more tropical flavor.

I'm going to BBQ School

In a few weeks I'll be heading to Paul Kirk's Pit Master School at The Cats in Los Gatos. I'm excited to learn how the pros que.
